Resource Group enter partnership with Hans Airways, a new UK start-up airline to deliver recruitment services for its A330 fleet.

Resource Group are excited to announce a newly formed partnership with the UK start-up airline, Hans Airways. Resource Group have started the recruitment process for the flight crews needed to support Hans Airways path towards gaining its UK Air Operator Certificate (AOC) later this year. Resource Group’s UK subsidiary, Contractair will work alongside Hans Airways in hiring Captains, First Officers and Training Captains required to fly its planned fleet of A330-200s. Contractair has a long history of providing dedicated support to the commercial and VIP aviation markets with an added focus on the quality of personnel that such operations require. “We welcome Hans Airways to our ever-expanding portfolio of airline partners and we look forward to helping them on their start-up journey,” comments Robin Hepworth, Business Manager at Resource Group. “We have been serving the recruitment and resourcing needs of the aviation and aerospace sector for more than 40 years and we are confident of maintaining a strong relationship with Hans Airways as its network expands.”“This recruitment agreement is a well-timed development as we prepare to launch our direct non-stop flights to India later in 2021,” says Nathan Burkitt, Director Flight Operations and Crew Training at Hans Airways. “It will allow the leadership team to focus on our launch preparations while at the same time filling the essential flight crew roles that we need. Resource Group brings decades of invaluable experience in this field, having worked with the likes of British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and easyJet, to name but a few of their other airline partners.”Hans Airways are delivering on their promise to sign with well-recognised third-party suppliers and Resource Group look forward to sourcing its first flight crew in readiness for the start of operations in late 2021. “Our intention from the beginning has been to work with industry-leading partners, like Resource Group, who are recognised as best in class at what they do. This strategy will continue as we move closer to launch,” adds Burkitt. For further details please visit: /

TAG Compliant Payroll – Ireland

With 40 years of accumulated experience in providing -payroll and employment solutions to our clients, Resource Group is proud to have a Blue Chip list of clients for whom we employ and manage flight crew. TAG Aviation is one such client, who we have worked on a full-time basis for 15 years. In 2019, TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd. was requested to take on the management of an Irish-based private jet. One of the stipulations was that the Irish-based crew were also to be engaged, in a compliant and ‘in country’ way, essentially as the aircraft would be based and operate out of Ireland.  This means adhering to all the Employment, Tax and Social Insurance requirements that an Irish-based company would have to provide as the Employer in Ireland. TAG Aviation turned to Resource Group to assist. Resource Group is able to set up compliant employment management and payrolls in jurisdictions where our clients are either unable to, or simply where it is financially unviable to do so, as we already have the infrastructure in place to be able to set up and run at a much reduced cost -base. Also, due to our unparalleled experience in managing such multi -jurisdiction requirements, TAG immediately benefits from, in effect, having an already ‘mature’ employment process in country, meaning that they will not face many of the ‘hidden’ issues that are common for Companies when setting up in a new country. With our current registration as a legal employer in Ireland, and a payroll system that is able to adhere to all State tax, social insurance and pension contributory schemes (including the ability to be able to transfer the current crew seamlessly from their current Irish employer), TAG was able to complete the transfer of the Aircraft Management Contract within days, without any worries of the problems of employment of the crew.A major win for all sides.

International Expansion

Resource Group was approached by an airline whose niche market was saturated. The company contacted us to discuss opportunities in other countries, as well as possible solutions that would implement the best strategy for various variables such as geography, local legislation, skills available, taxes and social security. Other factors to be considered were operational providers, line maintenance, airport fees and their current company skillset, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment. After several meetings between the client and ourselves, a tailored solution was provided. We worked in collaboration, where we provided consulting services that led to an HR partnership in various countries in the north and southeast of Europe. Focusing on the client’s objectives, we also provided support on the following.·         Commercial proposals for ACMI and wet-leasing services·         Creation of their branches and management teams·         Connection and coordination with HQ·         Recruitment, Screening and Compliance Due to our international presence, Resource Group was able to provide a solution that resulted in an efficient expansion with physical offices and increased presence in various countries, as well as compliant operations in alternative locations.

Dassault Falcon 7x Aircraft Modification

As part of an ongoing relationship with one of our MRO clients, Resource Group was asked to provide a ROM proposal to plan, manage and carry out a key modification to a Dassault Falcon 7x aircraft for a fixed price and timescale. This modification involved the retrofit of centre wing tank access panels as per Service Bulletin 338-R1. This SB was issued by Dassault in order to better facilitate wing tank access for future inspections and cleanings in the case of contamination. Upon receipt of the Service Bulletin, we leveraged the technical knowledge of key internal employees who are ex-industry professionals in order to put together a personnel/cost/time proposal that was sent to the client. Using this task-specific knowledge of our specialist meant that our proposal was more accurate with regards to timescale and personnel requirements and allowed us to propose the most competitive price, meaning our proposal was accepted and we were given the green light to proceed.Following acceptance of the proposal, our recruitment team was able to identify several known contractors within our network with existing knowledge and experience of this service bulletin. The selected contractors were then vetted by our recruitment teams to ensure that they had the necessary currency and certifications in place. Subsequently, their profiles, complete with certification packages, were forwarded to our client's quality department for final approval; a process that was swift thanks to the thorough checks performed by our recruitment team. After approval, the contracting team was deployed to our client's site, where they were met by one of our senior recruiters who acted as an onsite technical representative for the duration of the project. The team then carried out the Service Bulletin within the timescales provided in the initial proposal and incurred zero cost overruns. The successful completion of this project, the professionalism of our contractor team and the subsequent client satisfaction resulted in an additional rest to repeat this modification on a subsequent aircraft several months after the first was completed. In addition, we were also able to offer the same team/work package to several other MRO clients who were performing the same modification.
