We are currently recruiting a Safety Manager for one of our clients in Spain.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 

  • Proactively support the business to ensure they meet our clients risk management framework by ensuring compliance with our client health and safety policies in addition to any legislation as may be set by the relevant Country of operation.

  • Continually look to improve the process of hazard identification and risk control as detailed in the Health and Safety Manual, develop local policy when required; introduce safe working procedures and support the field operation by ensuring appropriate oversight.

  • Respond and deploy to the Station as lead investigator for serious or major incidents and accidents and provide emergency support as may be required.

  • Actively promote a fair and just reporting culture at all levels of the business.

  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported, fully investigated, and appropriate corrective processes put in place to address the root cause.

  • Responsible for the satisfactory timely conclusion of investigations and ensuring the Implementation of appropriate control measures.

  • To develop and lead on health and safety and incident investigation board reviews.

  • As the lead and key member of the business’ risk management team, deliver and drive promotion of the ‘safety first’ culture through all levels of the organization.

  • Proactively lead and coach our client’s Safety Department across the entire network.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify areas that present a risk to the business and drive continual improvement in the field of Aviation health and safety.

  • Represent the interests of our client at relevant industry forums as required.

  • Maintain and enhance open lines of communication with airline customers at station, regional and network-wide levels.

  • Stay informed as to the relevant skills and qualification levels required by staff for effective performance, and ensure these requirements are met by the training department.

  • To ensure full regulatory compliance and liaison with various enforcement agencies including incident and criminal investigation where required.

  • Ensure that you are up to date with all current information disseminated from airline operators and all relevant company internal communications, manuals, and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Knowledge of Safety Management & Risk Management Systems,

  • Available to travel throughout our European Network,

  • A team played with a positive attitude,

  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate all levels,

  • Ability to work independently to a high standard,

  • Ability to work quickly and to a tight schedule in a busy operational environment.

  • High level of English

CONDITIONS

  • Madrid Office.

  • Full-time permanent contract.

  • Salary based on experience.
