Requirements

  • Training qualification on Aviation Security.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in aviation environment.
  • Sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices.
  • Be familiar with Aviation Security Regulations local and international.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of: The applicable EU and national safety regulations and any associated requirements and procedures & The hazard checklists or similar risk management tools or processes, which are integrated into the activities of the operator.
  • Have successfully completed the “Airline Security Manager” course and Safety Management Systems course.
  • PDF editing, Excel spreadsheet, Good written English to executive level.

Responsabilities

The Safety & Security Manager is responsible for:

  • Responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, continuously reviewing, and improving an independent safety management system on behalf of the Accountable Manager.
  • Ensures that the Safety Reporting and Safety Assurance programs are properly maintained; reviewed at regular intervals in relation to all Company operational activities, while ensuring communication and coordination with Managers in the management of operational risk.
  • Responsible to maintain a continued feedback system to the Accountable Manager regarding adequacy of the safety performance of the company, ensuring that deficiencies and non-conformances are identified, their root cause analyzed, and the appropriate corrective/preventive actions promptly put in place.
  • Responsible for monitoring and management of the safety management system including:
    • Hazard and effects management processes.
    • Effective management of change.
    • Effectiveness of company’s emergency response preparedness. Safety training.
  • Management system procedures and manuals.
  • Safety Assurance programme.
  • Including auditing the Company operational activities, contractors, and sub-contractors as well as service providers according to regulatory requirements and standards set by EASA, TM CAD, IOSA and the Company procedures.
  • Implement the requirements of ERP throughout the Company.
  • Disseminating the requirements of the ERP manual to all Aerodromes that the Company operates. Plan, test and exercise emergency drills at least once a year.
  • Ensure that the Emergency Response documentation is kept relevant and current.
