We are searching for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Corporate Services team in Hartlebury, on a permanent basis to support the company's growth. The role will be expected to protect the assets of the business and provide support to the shareholders, directors & business units through managing financial performance of the business and the management & statutory accounts.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the functions detailed below, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
•To prepare monthly management accounts for sign-off by the Group FC / CFO within 10 working days of the period end for a UK and Swiss subsidiary using 2 different accounting systems.
•Ensure effective communication of business performance, investigating any unexpected results or adverse outcomes compared to budgets / forecasts or previous periods with senior management.
•Provide Insightful analysis to assist in business decision making including customer or activity margin analysis.
•To ensure all prior month Balance Sheet Control Accounts are reconciled before commencing the production of the current month’s Management Accounts / Complete month-end checklist
•To have a lead role in the production of budget, forecasts, cash flows and statutory accounts.
•To manage the process of monitoring systems and process compliance across the business, submitting returns to third parties including Governments and tax authorities (VAT etc.).
•To recommend improvements to the financial control systems operated by the Company e.g. New purchase order system, import of sales data.
•To protect the assets of the business by ensuring the safeguards in place are effective, relevant and operating.
•Ensure all Group ICO balances reconcile prior to month end closure
•To understand be apply to apply a multi-currency discipline to transactions / reconciliations / reporting
•To continuously monitor the financial and reporting systems to ensure they meet the needs of the business and that the group accounts comply with the latest accounting standards.
•Support the Resource Services FC in monitoring and improving the treasury, forex management, profits and tax positions of the businesses.
•To monitor and control conformity across the business to our financial policies and procedures.
•Ensure the team deliver against Business requirements in the most effective and efficient manner.
•Develop and support junior team members in improving their knowledge, attention to detail, technical skills and qualifications
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION LEVEL:
Qualification/Education:
•GCSEs including English Language and Maths Grade 5 (strong C) or above, further education such as A Levels and Higher Education with a degree classification of minimum of 2:2
•Qualified or Part qualified and working towards a formal Accountancy Qualification (CIMA preferred ACCA considered subject to experience)
Experience:
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to handle conflicting workloads, prioritise and multi task.
•Good Customer Service focus.
•Ability to think laterally and solve problems
•Strong financial accounting and reporting experience ideally in a training, service or engineering environment.
•Advanced Excel skills & good Microsoft Office skills
•Generating efficiencies through system streamlining
•Experience of accounting packages Exchequer and Abacus (not essential)
