We are looking for a Flight Operations Assistant for one of our clients based in Germany.

Responsibilities

OPS personnel shall assist in search and rescue in case of an accident or a flight being overdue.

OPS shall, under the supervision of the NPFO and OPS Manager, accept the flight orders from the customer, schedule aircraft and flight crew, preplan the mission, and brief flight crew accordingly.

In detail, OPS personnel on duty shall:

  • Create quotations and communicate with the customer to obtain all necessary information for a timely, customer-oriented execution of the mission.

  • Allocate a suitable airplane and crew to each mission, making sure they are available for the duration of the mission.

  • Obtain all required overflight and landing permissions as well as enroute and airport slots.

  • Make arrangements with handling agents.

  • Assist the crews in identifying the best refueling stops considering operational and economical requirements.

  • Determine the amount and currency of cash to be carried by the crew, and to obtain such cash in the proper denominations.

  • Make hotel reservations for flight crews.

  • Pre-plan the missions including departure times and realistic turnaround times, considering the flight duty and rest time requirements.

  • Ensure that company operations comply with the laws, regulations and procedures of those States in which they are conducted.

  • Enter all applicable information into the computer system at the earliest possible time and create a tripsheet for the mission.

  • Nominate the PIC of each mission.

  • Assure that day to day operations comply with Flight and Duty Time Legislation.

  • Obtain weather charts and forecasts as well as NOTAMS prior to the flight and prepare the flight logs, weight and balance statements, and ATC flight plans.

  • Observe the progress of flight, collecting all obtainable intelligence and providing the crew with the required support.

Requirements

  • Languages:

    • English required: Fluent.

    • German: Not required but advantageous.

  • Aviation background. Ground dispatcher or similar.
