CAMO SAFETY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER

We are currently seeking a CAMO Safety & Compliance Manager to be based in one of our main Clients in Europe on a permanent basis.

The CAMO Safety & Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring compliance with, and the competence of the procedures required to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aircraft. The CAMO Safety & Compliance Manager has overall responsibility to implement and monitor the Airworthiness Compliance System and to implement and maintain the CAMO Safety Management System.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Compliance Monitoring Program and Safety System as per Part CAMO requirements.
  • Develop, administrate, and maintenance of the CAMO’s safety and compliance management processes, ensure documentation and implementation needed. management system processes as per CAMO.A.200.
  • Liaise with Competent Authority and (sub)contractors to manage and ensure validity and compliance of relevant approvals, contracts.
  • Liaise with nominated persons and responsible managers in relation to compliance and safety aspects.
  • Regularly monitor relevant reference documentation and applicable regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and management within the CAMO organisation.
  • Coordinating action on airworthiness occurrences and for initiating and closing any necessary further investigation and follow-up activity.
  • Ensure that relevant process, procedure, and manuals are up-to-date and relevant. Develop, amend, and maintain procedures, including the CAME.
  • Perform subcontractor and contractor oversight and adequately document audits, aircraft inspections according to international and regulatory requirements and approved audit plans. Define and report findings, achieve agreement on corrective actions to be taken.
  • Manage Compliance and Safety data through the Centrik system, contribute towards timely system developments within your responsibility domain.
  • Prepare the data to perform regular management reviews.
  • Processing aircraft certification, CAMO amendments and company approvals in accordance with EASA/IAA requirements.
  • Monitor all subcontracted CAMO and contracted maintenance activities.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety awareness through internal communication and training within your responsibility area.

  Requirements:

  • Aeronautical (or relevant) engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification followed by at least 5 years of work experience in a CAMO environment.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Knowledge of maintenance methods.
  • Knowledge of the applicable EASA regulations and audit techniques.
  • Knowledge of SMS fundamentals
  • Managerial experience

 Skills:

  • Fluid in English both spoken and written, Spanish would be valuable
  • IT literate (Office, EASA website, SAFA…)
  • Communications skills and ability to work in multicultural environments
  • Problem solving skills
